About Us

The first thing to know is that Tawnshi means “hello” in Michif, the language of the Métis. So, tawnshi everyone, and welcome.
Tawnshi Charcuterie was created as an invitation to gather, to connect, and to experience Indigenous culture through food and conversation. Our work is rooted in both reflection and forward movement while creating contemporary culinary experiences designed for today’s tables.
We offer a modern Indigenous take on charcuterie that is refined, beautifully presented, and thoughtfully curated using Indigenous flavours and seasonal inspiration. Every board is crafted to spark connection and create memorable shared experiences in offices, events, celebrations, and gatherings across Vancouver.
Tawnshi is founded by Marina and Trevor with deep roots in hospitality, design, and branding.
Marina is Cree and Métis from the historic Red River Settlement in Manitoba. With more than 15 years of experience in hospitality and customer service, she has developed a thoughtful and intuitive approach to creating exceptional guest experiences. She also holds a diploma in graphic design and always dreamed of building a hospitality brand that blends creativity, culture, and meaningful connection.
Trevor is from northern British Columbia and the Gitxsan Nation. He brings more than 15 years of experience in branding, marketing, photography, and content creation. A storyteller and entrepreneur at heart, he is passionate about creating experiences that feel authentic, visually compelling, and deeply human.
Together, we created Tawnshi Charcuterie to offer something more than catering. We created it to bring people together through story, culture, and shared experience, one gathering at a time.
